No Leave, No Life is easy to implement in any business through our simple three-step toolkit, which comprehensively covers the wide range of issues and attitudes that influence employee stockpiling of leave, and how to reduce it with the No Leave, No Life program.
The toolkit can be used by all employers, including private or public organisations, human resources /employee relations managers, workplace relations and business advisers, and small and medium business owners or operators.
For the best results, you should tailor the toolkit to suit your business. You may also want to seek advice from your industry association to ensure the strategies developed using the toolkit are appropriate.

Get the current facts about leave stockpiling in Australia and explore the impact on both employers and employees. Identify the typical 'stockpiler' employee. Learn why staff stockpile their annual leave and the benefits of regularly taking annual leave, as well as assessing the level of leave accrued within your company/organisation.

Step 2: Address the issue
ENCOURAGE YOUR STAFF TO TAKE OWNERSHIP
After recognising any workplace issues and employee attitudes in step 1, step 2 of the toolkit will examine how to encourage employees to take leave, and steps to overcome some of the difficulties managers face in dealing with this issue. It also covers ways to encourage staff to take leave, with examples of initiatives that could be implemented to reduce your leave liability.

Step 3: Undertake a program
UNDERTAKE A SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM
Steps 1 and 2 provided you with the background facts about excessive leave stockpiling, and strategies that can be easily implemented in the workplace. Step 3 sets out how to change your annual leave culture and how to ensure successful implementation of the leave reduction strategies through the No Leave, No Life program.
