You can fly from mainland capitals into Hobart, Launceston, Wynyard and Devonport. Tasmania is a little over an hour’s flight from Melbourne, the nearest mainland capital city, and a number of airlines fly scheduled services to Tasmania daily.

Alternatively, you can arrive by ferry on the Spirit of Tasmania, which operates between Port Melbourne and Devonport.

From the main airports of Hobart and Launceston, Freycinet National Park on Tasmania’s east coast is approximately 2 hours driving time from both with Devonport a further hours’ drive away. Here you’ll find the world-renowned Wineglass Bay, which is practically an equal distance from Hobart and Launceston. It will take you just two and a half hours from these cities’ airports to arrive at the national park.

From either direction, simply turn off the Tasman Highway (A3) onto the Coles Bay Road (C302), 12 kilometers south of Bicheno. About 30 kilometers from the highway you’ll find the entrance to the park and visitor centre just beyond the Coles Bay township
